Every wedding has its own special story, and for Tanya and Emanoil it was that warm and all-embracing sensibility that enveloped all their wedding ceremonies, which we feel is especially underline thing for the multi-cultural weddings. Tanya is a Sikh living in UK and Emanoil, a Romanian, and their special chemistry has been incredibly captured in the Pre-Wed shoot by Ombre Studio.
Jaipur was the preferred choice of destination and ITC Rajputana was zeroed upon as the venue. The wedding was scheduled for December and we arranged for the pre-wedding trip to oversee the details, like recce of the venue for the ceremonies, meeting the vendors, finalizing the Gurudwara, food and cake tasting amongst other things.
December is a pleasant time in Jaipur, so we decided to have the Mehndi early evening at the terrace of Rajputana. Rani and candyfloss pink were the shades we played with. Across the roof of the canopies, we hung strings of Rajnigandha which gave it such a refreshing kick, and there! a rather lovely spot to have henna applied at. For the centerpieces, the bride wanted to have kitschy miniature umbrellas, decked up with roses and daisies. It was a fun evening with dinner and cocktails and the folk artists filling the air with their crooning Rajasthani music.
Following day was the wedding ceremony at the Vaishali Gurudwara in Jaipur. Of all the things, one thing that the groom most wanted was to arrive on an elephant, we even customized the golden sequined fabric for the elephant! And boy, he did enjoy the procession. After the ceremony, there was langar served at the langar hall of the gurdwara.
The last leg of the two-day celebration was the wedding reception held at the ballroom of the hotel.Our bride Tanya wanted to have a classy, elegant and understated decor for the reception. Dull gold and deep passionate red were the colors for the evening. Candelabras with red roses and tea lights were set on the table along with the quirky form to be filled by the guests for the bride and groom. And, it would be safe to say, the evening was much about dancing and some more dancing, perfect note to wrap up the wedding fiesta.
