It was Mohit’s birthday and they thought it would be perfect day for their engagement. Making it even more special!
Mohit’s sister Urvashi was our one point contact and she was absolutely clear on the destination: Krabi. It enormously helped us as we were focusing all our energies on one destination and not many for hotels.
Yes, agreed that Krabi does not have excellent connectivity however the scenic beauty, limestone caves and water sports makes up for it.
We loved the Tubakak resort but they didn’t specialize in Indian food. And we had to have Indian cuisine for all meals because elders were also part of the group.
We decided on Sheraton Resort and Spa Krabi and it was superb by all means. Rewadee at Sheraton helped us immensely with the smooth operations of the event. She was wonderful, patient and always a call away.
Itinerary stared with overnight flight and arrival in morning. After a delicious lunch at Sheraton, we left for four islands and phi phi islands tour, which was quite fun. The Indian buffet was organized on yacht and the guests got back around 10 pm.
Next day was the engagement ceremony; we had gotten the makeup artists flown down from Bangkok and she did a fabulous job. The décor was simplistic but classy. Engagement was at sunset so you could only imagine the scenic horizon on the background.

We considered quite a few options in Thailand for the photographer before finally agreeing on Joseph who also gave us a great deal for photo and video booth both.
After the engagement, we moved to the beach restaurant of Sheraton for the buffet dinner. DJ Kensho, who had flown down from Bangkok got the evening rolling with his music. And we also had fire dancers who were truly entertaining.
The following day half of the group continued with their ongoing tour towards Pattaya and Phuket while the rest of them came back to India.
It was a wonderful experience working with Sheraton Krabi and Rewadee. Sheraton Krabi is an apt destination for the Indian weddings.
