You may choose the full spectrum of colours or the monochromes to project moments, but here’s the thing, white contains all the colours and when all colours come together they form a shade of black, so maybe that which seems to be a separation is perhaps inseparable at its core.
The essence, the emotions and feelings, reverberates every moment of life, and makes it colourful or black and white.
This is the story of a boy meets girl, but they met only when they were meant to be, even though funnily enough they stayed in the same neighborhood in New York for quite some time. Turns out Life does have a weird sense of humour.
And then they spent the next few years getting to know each other, they hike Table Mountain in Cape Town, sail the Adriatic in Croatia, swim in Lake Como and trek the jungle in Bali. And on a one balmy Sunday, boy hires a guitarist and proposes the girl on the Passerelle Debilly Bridge in Paris. Girl says yes to the sweetest proposal.
Tina and Chris’s, multicultural wedding extravaganza was a two day event, on the first day it was an Indian ceremony while on the second traditional English at the same location Meleto Castle, Tuscany.
In the words of the photographer David Bastianoni: ‘’We tried to tell their story comparing it to a chromatic difference in order to have an immediate visual impact: on one hand the bright, bold colors of India and on the other the elegant and soft black and white of England.’’
We love how the photographer has chosen to make a parallel narration of two different wedding ceremonies and cultures, juxtaposing the English and Indian Wedding pictures against each other; revealing the similarities across different cultures, making this photo album some sort of visual symphony.
These pictures are a testimony of the thought, Simplicity is the ultimate form of sophistication.
We are so delighted to share the wedding album of Tina and Chris with our readers as it is a sweet reminder that once the layers of labels are chipped off, the sameness and oneness of who we are is revealed, and Love simply flows.
Their happily ever after started when they realized, they bring out the best in each other. Here’s wishing the world is always filled with many such happily ever after’s.
In case you are still not satiated with the pictures (we weren’t), here’s the link to the entire album – “Two Culture One Love”.
