Avanilaya Goa – Intimate Villa Wedding Venue in North Goa

A peaceful villa estate tucked away in North Goa, Avanilaya is perfect for intimate weddings surrounded by nature. No beach, no noise — just space to breathe, connect, and celebrate with your closest people.

A quiet villa estate for couples who want their wedding to feel like a deep breath ✨

It’s not on the beach. And that’s exactly why it works.

There’s something about Avanilaya.

Tucked away in Aldona, a quiet part of North Goa, this place doesn’t scream for attention. It doesn’t have the sea or a trendy café next door. But it has something else — something quieter. A view that stretches far and wide. A stream that cuts through the land. Trees that seem like they’ve seen a hundred love stories unfold beneath them.

We’ve taken many couples here on pre-wedding trips. Some ended up choosing it. Some didn’t. But every single one of them paused the moment they arrived. Everything slows down here.

That’s the kind of space Avanilaya is.

• Three Villas. One Estate. Endless Possibilities. ✨

Avanilaya is made up of three villas — PanchavattiPadimunu, and The Third Place — spread across a lush 24-acre estate. It’s not a hotel pretending to be a home. It is a home. One that lets you host the people you love without the noise of a larger venue.

Each villa is self-contained:

  • The Third Place: 4 bedrooms (up to 9 guests)
  • Panchavatti: 5 bedrooms (up to 12 guests)
  • Padimunu: 3 bedrooms (up to 7 guests)

The rooms are full of texture and warmth, the kind you don’t need to dress up too much. You’ll find your guests lounging in courtyards, wandering through gardens, or sitting under the shade of its most famous tree — the one where many couples have said their vows.

And then there’s the betel tree patch. Perfectly symmetrical. We’ve done the most stunning dinners here — fairy lights overhead, soft music playing, and long, happy conversations stretching into the night.

If you’re lucky — and quiet — you’ll also spot some of the native wildlife that makes this area so special. Guests have often seen vibrant birds, butterflies, and even the occasional curious visitor from the surrounding forest. It’s the kind of place that reminds you nature is always part of the celebration. 🐦

• What Weddings Look Like Here

Weddings at Avanilaya aren’t overproduced.
They’re not full of five outfit changes and timelines that run till 4am.

Instead, they feel grounded.
One beautiful ceremony. Maybe a welcome lunch. An intimate dinner. A slow morning with chai and conversations. It’s more about presence than performance.

Guest count usually sits around 80–100 for events, though it’s best when it’s a little smaller. The villas can sleep around 28 people total, so your immediate circle stays with you, and everyone else can be comfortably put up in boutique hotels or Airbnbs nearby. They’re not full of five outfit changes and timelines that run till 4am.

👉 And if you’re a quiet couple just looking to host a simple, beautiful ceremony with only a handful of guests — you can book just one villa. The layout of Avanilaya allows each villa to feel private and self-contained. Even a guest count of five can feel like enough here. It’s that peaceful, that personal.

• Planner’s Take 💬

This is one of the few places we genuinely love coming back to.

It’s not trying to be flashy. It’s not trying to be “Goa.”
But it gives you something very few venues do — space to breathe.

If you’re looking for a beachside party, this isn’t it.
But if you’re imagining a wedding with just your closest people, in a beautiful home surrounded by nature, where everything feels a little slower, a little softer — this might be exactly what you need.

• Things You Should Know Before You Fall in Love With It

As dreamy as Avanilaya is, there are a few things to be aware of — because it’s better to know up front than to find out later.

There’s no indoor banqueting space. So if you’re imagining a late-night afterparty or a backup rain plan that involves moving everything indoors, this may not be the best fit. All celebrations happen outdoors — which is what makes it magical — but also means you’ll need to plan with the weather in mind.

Music needs to be toned down after 10pm. The estate sits within a quiet village, and Goa’s panchayats are strict about sound regulations. So no loud DJs or dancefloors going late into the night. Think more acoustic sets, intimate sangeets, or winding down with conversation and candlelight. ✨

The upside? You can bring in your own caterer and alcohol, which gives you flexibility with menus, budgets, and service style. That’s a rarity in Goa, and it makes Avanilaya feel even more like a blank canvas for your kind of celebration.
