Leaf through the photographs of a rather cool wedding of Opal and Ollie and you will catch yourself secretly wishing to have a wedding like that. The venue they chose for their intimate wedding (guest list: 16, including bride and groom) is a understatedly luxurious Shunya Kaju Varo in Ashwem Goa. We love this property as much and is one of our pick of Villa Wedding Venues in Goa.

The two families traveled together for a month and then ended their trip in Goa where Opal and Ollie got married. The dressing room was a rustic cottage where the bride, her sister, mother, sister-in-law, mother-in-law got ready while having champagne and reminiscing their travel tales.  We love how everybody was bare feet and the otherwise quintessential Jimmy Choo’s were nowhere in sight.

Opal chose a minimalistic ivory lacy dress with henna on feet and delicate leaf shaped maang tikka, her sweet way of incorporating and romancing with a little bit of India. They even had Sitar player and a classical singer perform while the wedding ceremony took place. One can only imagine how ethereal the ambiance would have been.

Then there are immensely heartwarming moments of first look and speeches and happy tears and nostalgia captured so beautifully by Richa Kashelkar that we find ourselves revisiting the photographs.
